Traveling changes your life…
Some Travellers only go for a short time on traveling. Which is ok, but to be away from home for a longer time is different! Why? There is so much that changes in your world
- You get to find yourself new and start to form yourself new
- The way you see your life and your expectations
- You value more things that weren’t important for you before
- Career plans will change
- Eating habits will change
- You will see the things differently and you start to love deeper
- You appreciate the little things in life
Some friendships will end, but that’s ok because some people are not suppose to be in your life. I recommend to watch this video on facebook to it: Meeting people at the wrong/ right time
We should talk about it how it is to come home after a while of traveling. Many of us feel missunderstood and depressed. I had a really good conversation about it with Celina Herborg.
„The changes we are going through on traveling happen from time to time, that’s why we mostly just realise it when we got back home. When I got back to germany I was shocked about my own country. I had situations in Australia where I could feel I’m free, my heart felt like it got rid of the chains. I had the responsibility for my life. Nobody told me what to do, no one from my family or friends or anybody else who thought they have the right to tell you what to do. I could do what I wanted to do and I have achieved so many things. If I needed help I learned to ask the people around me. People were friendly and I had the feeling they were happy about it to get asked. They accepted you just the way you were. My worldview changed complitly. I learned how easy life can be, I was motivated and got inspired from people and they’re life. If you grow up in Germany, so I think, you are not used to such an easy lifestyle. You have to work hard to achiev something, you get nothing for free and everything is unfair. People complain about the wether and it doesn’t matter if the sun is shining, if it’s raining or if it snows, nothing can be good enough. It also can be in other countrys as well but I have never found another country which is so unhappy with itself than Germany. The tradition in Germany is to grow up, get a job, get married, have some kids, be old and realise you wasted your life but now you are old. If you never leave germany you grow up in this and you get never the idea to have another life. If you did leave Germany you do realise how different your life can be.
The worst thing at all – never will something change at home. When you get back everything will be the same!“
Celine is from Germany and went for a while to Australia. When she got back to Germany, she had a horrible time. Now she is in Canada and happy again. I totally recommend to have a look on her block.
Some people could never Imagine to leave Germany and live somewhere else. Which is also ok. But I’m asking myself, would these people wanna live in Germany if they would have ever known another lifestyle?
